  2. Which Aperture lets more light into the camera to hit the image sensor? F/5.6
  3. Which Aperture keeps more of the foreground and background in focus? F/11.
  4. Which Shutter Speed is faster? 1/200 second.
  5. Which Shutter Speed keeps the door in the camera open for more time? 1/30 second
  6. Which Shutter Speed is best for stopping action? 1/200 second.

AV

These three pictures are diffrent becuase they have diffrent apperature, diffrent types of zoom and the depth of feel is either larger or smaller. For example, the first picture has depth of feel but not as much as the third picture. The reason for this is the apperature.

TV (NOT MOVING)

Thesev three pictures  are diffrent because they have diffrent types of shutter speed and apperature. For example, the first picture and the last picture have diffrent lightings becuase the shutter speed determains how much light enters the camera.

TV (MOVING)

These three pictures are diffrent because they all are have diffrent apperature and shutter speed. All these pictures are either blurry, sharp, too bright, too dark or normal brightness. FOr example, THe first picture and the third picture are diffrent because they have diffrent types of shutter speed and since my partner waas spinning he was caught spining in diffrent spots.

TV (PANNING)

THese three pictures are diffrent because they have iffrent apperature and shutter speed. The first picture is bright because the shutter speed was left on too long and the third picture is slightly too dark because the shutter speed was left on to short. Also all these pictures are diffrent because the moving object is caught either in the air, ground or looks like if it were still moving because  of the shutter speed.

QUESTIONS

  • In your own words, define “Depth of Field
  • ~Depth of field is when the background is blurry and you sometimes can't tell what is in the background, but the foreground is in focus.
    • Explain a situation where you would want to use a wide Aperture and what composition style would this help you achieve?
~ I would use a wide apperature in a dark place becuase you would need more light to come in so you cna seee what your taking the picture of andd the picture won't turn out as dark. A compostion style i would use is rule of thirds.
    • Describe two ways different shutter speeds affected your images.
~If you have a shutter speed of 1/10 the picture will turn out either too bright and it would take longer for the camera to take the picture. If you have a shutter speed of 1/200 it will not be as bright as the picture taken with a shutter speed of 1/10 and you can stop motion with this shutter speed.

    Patterns

Briefly explain what it is about each of the photos that you like and why they are your best

    Man-Made

What i like about this picture is that it looks like you are looking up and what i also like about it is that its crisp and the colors look bright. This picture is one of my best because it is crisp, sharp, it shows a lot of detail, the colors pop out and it shows the objective of the project, patterns.

The reason why I like this picture is because it is crisp and i like how the words Dear Court broke the patterns. This is one of my best because it has many pattersn in it and because it was from a diffrent angle instead of taking the picture from straight on.
    Natural

What i like about this picture is tht it clearly shows a paterns in the leave. What made this picture one of my bests was that it was crisp, the colors are bright and they pop out, no distractions, and you can clearly point out that the object of the project was to find patterns.

What i like about this picture is that it looks unusual. I looks unusual because if you were to crop this picture all the way to were the parterns were you would not know what you were looking at. what made this picture one of my bests was that it was showing patterns and that it was crisp and sharp. But the white balance in the back ground lowkey messed things u because since the background is so bright it disracts you from the main thing of the picture.

Some skills im doing well on is taking pictures in an angle, how to adjust myslef when there is a lot or not alot of sun light, finding things i didnt see before as in paterns. As in worms eye, birds eye ect.. For our next project my goal is to take sharper pictures. A way Mr. Pedersen can help me is by helping me with the white balance. as in by helping me set it. He can also help me by tellling me what types oof settings should i have when there is a lot of sunlight and by telling me how to make the picture less blury once i soom in to smoething that is far away.

    Photoshop Tutorials

    Absent for 2 1/2 days

In order to create this image the first thing I had to do was go to  photoshop and open a picture of an animal of my choice, that I searched on google. Then I would open another picture, that picture would be a picture of me. Then I place my picture on to the animal picture by clicking new window. Then I made a new layer so when I cropped only my face on to the animal picture and aligned my eyes and my nose with the animal by lowering the opacity and warping it, I would be just doing all these things to my cropped face. The way I cropped my face was by using a lasso tool that allows you to choose what you want to crop  out of one picture and place it on to another picture. Finally after I aligned my eyes and mouth with the animal, I chose what feature of my face to place on the animal. The way I got to put some of my feature on to the animal picture was by erasing most of my face with a soft edge brush and leaving some features of my face on the animal picture. Some problems I had with this image was aligning the mouth with the animal's mouth without  covering its whiskers. I over came this problem by making the mouth smaller , erasing some of my mouth and then by pressing CLT T moving the mouth around so I didn't have to warp my mouth again. My favorite thing about this picture is how the animal looks like with braces.

They way I over came this was by making my eyes smaller and erasing anything that weren't my eyes. My favorite thing about this picture is that my eyes are on a little animal and it looks cute.

In order to create this half animal, half human the first thing I had to do was go to  photoshop and open a picture of  myself. Then I would open another picture, that picture would be a picture of an animal of my choice that I chose on Google. Then I place the animal picture on my picture by
clicking new window. Finally after I aligned my eyes and mouth with the animal, I chose what side of the animals face to use for my half animal, half human picture. Then with a soft edge brush I erased
half of the animal's face that was placed on to mine and  also erased some other things I didn't wanna use for my half animal, half human picture. Some problems I had with this picture was aligning the nose of this animal with my nose because since the animal's snout is long it didn't look good if I put the animals nose on my chin and leave my nose where it's at. A way I overcame this problem was by warping the animals face so it would look shorter instead of long and warping its nose a bit. My favorite thing of this picture is the way the ear of the animal looks on my head and the way I could align my eye with the animals eye so it looked like if it were connected to my face.

My favorite thing about this picture was having the cats eye bigger than mine so it look weird buy funny.

There were many things I had to do to create this picture but the main things I did to create this image was create.

    Personal Coposition

    RULE OF THIRDS

The points of interest in this shot is on the football and how it is shifted to the left side of the picture. I intentionally place the main subject to the left side of the picture but since the camera made everything look small i did not see that the football was placed slightly more to the center, bottom, left. This is a strong example of the composition technique because it is shifted to the left corner and it shows rule of thirds. i think  this picture can be improved by photoshopping how bright it is and sharpening it a little more.

The points of interest in this shot is on the red flower and how it is shifted to the left side of the picture. I intentionally place the main subject to the left, top corner of the picture . This is a strong example of the composition technique because it is not in the center it is in the left top corner. I think this picture can be improved by photoshopping the sharpness and by having a better background so the main subject can stand out.
    LEADING LINES

The points of interest in this shot is on the football . I intentionally place the main subject to the right side of the picture so the viewers can follow the the line towards the ball. This is a strong example of the composition technique because it has a line leading to the main subject and because the colors look very sharp. I think  this picture can be improved by photoshopping how bright it is and sharpening it a little more because the picture looks a little bit too bright.

The points of interest in this shot is on the football. I intentionally place the main subject on a line so when i got on the ground it looked like if the line lead to the football. This is a strong example of the composition technique because it has a lot of details. as in flower petals and grass on the line so it looks like if the football was supposed to be there. i think  this picture can be improved by photoshopping how bright it is, sharpening and by having the main subject more focused..

    FILL IN THE FRAME

The points of interest in this shot is the red flower petals. I initially placed the main subject on my lap so when i taked the camera and took the picture i didn't have to get so close up or use too much zoom. This is a strong example of the composition technique because it focused on the flower petals and there is nothing that would distract the viewer from stop looking at the picture. I think i can improve this picture by photoshoping how much focus it has on the flower petals and how sharpnded it is.

The points of interest in this shot is on dirt. I intentionally place the main subject no where because i only hadto kneel down and take a picture of the dirt on the ground. This is a strong example of the composition technique because there are no distractions in the photo, it is only focused on the dirt. i think  this picture can be improved by photoshopping how bright it is and sharpening it a little more.

    Compostion

    FILL IN THE FRAME

I think this is a good example of Fill in the Frame because all you see in this picture is money. There are no distractions  in the back ground and also it is very crisp which means he might have gotten really close to the objects and set it in macro mode. The photographer did a good job because the lighting is correct, the money looks sharp and crisp and the money is all i see.

    LEADING LINES

I think this is a good example of  leading lines because you can see that the main line in this picture is the rode. I think the photographer was driving in his car towards this canyon while he took this picture. I think the photographer did a good job in showing leading lines in this picture because the first thing you do when you look at this picture is follow the road all the way to the canyon. I think the photographer left the camera on the mountains i con because he wanted to make the picture more distant and make it fade a little in the background.

    RULE OF THIRDS

I think this is a good example of rule of thirds because the palm tree is on the right side of the picture which makes you just focus on the main thing that is the palm tree. I think the photographer was on a boat when he took this picture because its in the middle of an ocean. I also think he did a good job in making every thing crisp and having the correct lighting.
